Presentation
Founded in 2015, Agriviva is a company in the food industry based in Montpellier, France that offers local and ready-to-cook fruits and vegetables for mass catering. Agriviva's mission is based on greening meals, promoting local production and developing integration jobs. The supply of fresh products is based on close collaboration with nearly 40 local producers carefully selected (independent vegetable growers, producer groups, cooperatives). With its 900 m2 workshop, between 3.5 and 5 tons of products are processed every day, then distributed to the main players in the catering sector in the region of Occitanie (public authorities, wholesalers, manufacturers…). Agriviva is actively involved in the recycling of downgraded products (sorting residues and out-of-sizes) thereby helping to reduce food waste while maximizing the use of harvested products. The impact of the company doesn't stop there. Agriviva is also part of a Group of Social and Solidarity Enterprises (GESS) to support people in their integration in the workplace. In 2022, Agriviva is taken over by Cuisinons nos Paysages, a subsidiary of FoodBiome, which has a project to federate a national network of local processing workshops. In 2023, the company achieved a revenue of €1.5 million and processed 800 tons of raw vegetables. In addition to a subordinated loan of 300 k€ from La Banque des Territoires, Agriviva is fundraising with LITA.co to finance a scaling up, which will involve consolidating its position in its traditional market of public catering, deseasonalizing its model and diversifying its business.
