Pitch
Important
Despite efforts to reduce costs and stabilize its operations, the company experienced a decline in revenue within a context of structural decline in the organic and bulk sectors post-COVID. The prospects for revenue growth were limited, particularly due to inflation and the purchasing power crisis, which pushed consumers toward non-organic alternatives. Rising energy costs and rent indexation further worsened the situation. With no short-term profitability in sight, Les Halles Coopératives decided to liquidate the company.
Presentation
Les Halles de Manèges is a food distribution model that promotes local products, selected with care and in cooperation with producers. Founded in Mons in 2016, Les Halles' offer is diverse, organic and seasonal. Operating as a distributor, the cooperative took a turning point last year when it joined forces with the Färm cooperative in order to diversify its sources of supply.
After an initial campaign in 2019 and a strong period of growth, Les Halles du Manège is reopening a capital round in order to further expand its offer.
